The Contemporary Studio of Glass Art is a non-profit school that offers a creative learning experience and outlet for students taught by accomplished artists. We exemplify a safe and supportive environment. Utilizing a state of the art facility, the Studio provides a positive atmosphere for artists to teach and learn glass art techniques ranging from early to modern.

The Contemporary Studio of Glass Art started as a dream. In 2003, we began discussing ways to share our glassblowing techniques. We then formulated a plan to create a non-profit entity that would enable us to teach anyone interested. We also hoped to feature other guest artists. The CSGA formed beginner, intermediate, and advanced curriculum to meet their students’ needs. In December 2004, we filed for 501 (c) 3 non-profit status as a center for learning and secured the site in Westmont, Illinois. Our facility exists as a center for advancing individual artistry through working with glass. We promote hands-on instruction with tangible results. The CSGA’s gallery space proudly displays all types of glass art made by students and instructors.
